Tom Buchanan is the owner of Tom Buchanan Photographics. The Buchanan Gallery was formed in 2002 in the city of Surrey BC, Canada by Tom & Maggie Buchanan. Our goal is to provide the best quality stock photos at reasonable prices.Tom began The Buchanan Gallery after retiring from 3M Canada as a Technical Services Manager.  On the day he left the company, it snowed in Vancouver.  He was up in Queen Elizabeth park on Little Mountain photographing the unusual snow fall in the city and a friend asked him what he was going to do now.  He said he didn't know.  His friend suggested he become a professional photographer, so he did.  The results are what you see on this site.

 

Tom is prolific in his interest in photography and loves to get out there and get a few shots.  He loves his adopted home of Coaldale, AB and with his wife Maggie he can be found out and about day or night adding to their stock library.  Tom also teaches photography at the Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden several times a year and workshops at Paradise Canyon Golf Resort during the various seasons and has taught photography at the Norton Centre in Coaldale Alberta for several years.

  Maggie Buchanan began photographing things in 2002.  She is primarily interested in fine art photography of still life subjects.  Her keen eye creates some amazing images.  Recently Maggie has begun creating a significant number of stock images and she is developing a good catalog of interesting subjects using macro techniques.  Tom and Maggie have been married for over 30 years and live in Coaldale, AB, Canada.  You can see Maggie's fine art images at http://margaret-buchanan.artistwebsites.com.
